If you are searching for a model of how to integrate social media and content — Twitter, Facebook and websites, Guy Kawasaki deserves some attention.
Guy (actually a blogger who works for Guy, named Catherine Faas), serves up the story three ways: short and direct on Twitter, a long teaser with an image on Facebook, and, on his blog, three of the five points with a link to the source story.
Notice how all versions provide the information in a compelling form that is also appropriate to their location. And also note that the links on Twitter and Facebook go to Guy’s blog first, which then links to the original ReadWriteWeb story.

Read Write Cloud recently published a helpful list of resources for those interested in data journalism. These five tools enable users to provide context and make sense of our information culture. See three of them below:
- Factual. It provides simple APIs for creating web and mobile apps. For example: it provides data on local geographies.
- Google Fusion Tables. A Google Labs project that works as a data management tool to host, maintain, collaborate on, visualize, and publish data tables.
- Yahoo Pipes. Allows you to aggregate feeds and mashup information from around the web.
