5 Things To Never Post on Facebook

Even if you have followed this guide to setting up your Facebook privacy controls, you still should stick to the following “Don’t Post” list:

DON’T POST
1. Addresses
Not your email address, your home address or the address of anyone you know
2. Birth date
Name, birth date and birthplace are often enough to allow someone to get your social security number. If you like birthday greetings, post your birthday, but not year. Use the privacy settings to show only friends.
3. Vacation plans
Don’t announce when you’ll be out of town.
4. Comments about clients, co-workers or bosses
If you post about your co-workers, they *will* hear about it
5. Confessions
If you wouldn’t mention it to your boss, your insurance company rep, or a police officer, don’t post it on Facebook
